SAFE SALON COVID POLICY

Fine to Fabulous Covid Aware Salon

The Covid-19 pandemic has presented us with hurdles that Fine to Fabulous take very seriously. As a close contact service we have undertaken risk assessments within the salon to provide the upmost safest and calm environment for all our clients, visitors and saff. 

 

Therefore, we kindly ask all clients the following:

  • Please arrive at the time of your appointment as we no longer have a waiting area for more than 1 person.

  • Please come alone if possible.

  • Please wear a mask/face-covering or display an exemption badge until further advice from the government when face-coverings are no longer needed.  This includes all children over the age of 2.

  • To wash their hands on arrival, our staff will take you to the hand-washing station.

  • Clients temperature will be checked on arrival with a hands-free thermometer.

  • If a client shows a high temperature without showing symptoms, we may cancel your appointment and your deposit/full payment will not be refunded.

  • We kindly ask clients who are experiencing symptoms such as a fever or flu like illnesses or has done in the last 14 days, please do not come to the salon.

  • Please give us as much notice as you can if you intend to cancel or move your appointment.

  • Deposits paid will only be refunded or transferred to another appointment with a minimum of 48 hrs notice from the appointment time.

  • We have anti-bacterial gel available for all clients to use.

  • Card payments is preferred but we will accept cash.

  • We accept Apple Pay.

  • We have a zero-tolerance policy and we do not accept abusive behaviour.

  • Hairdressers/Beauty Therapists will be wearing facemask and/or face shield, disposable apron, and disposable gloves where appropriate.

  • The salon has dividing sneeze screens in the appropriate places.

  • We cannot always observe the 2m spacing rule, however, we will try to keep this distance and we ask clients to keep this in mind.

  • No hand shaking allowed, no magazines will be offered or available. You may want to bring something to read.

  • No refreshments are offered except water, however please bring your own hot/cold drinks.

  • All surfaces, tools, washbasins and stations will be sanitized and disinfected before and after each client service.

  • Towels are all cleaned at high temperatures.

  • Hair will be required to be shampoo and conditioned where appropriate, we can no longer dampen down hair prior to cutting. i.e. no dry cuts available.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL COLOUR CLIENTS:

Since it has been over a year since the COVID-19 outbreak and many people have been infected with the virus.  There have been a mixed reaction to the virus,  some people have had no symptoms, some mildly and sadly some more severe. It has been reported that peoples allergy reactions could have changed.  This is hair colour ingredients, such as a chemical called paraphenylenediamine (PPD), which is a known irritant and allergen. This is the culprit of most reactions to hair colour.  Therefore, should you have been tested positive for COVID-19 at any time, we will ask you to be tested for a skin colour allergy. 

 

We hope that you will advise us so we can act safely for your hair colouring appointment.  A patch test is required 48 hrs before any hair colouring appointment.  We have to advise that we cannot accept any responisbility for a skin reaction to a hair colour service if you have not advised us of a positive test or expressed any concerns of your well-being.  We will do our best to discuss any concerns you have or we may have but should you feel that you have not been feeling your best since contracting COVID-19, we strongly advise againist a colour service.  Please do discuss any concerns you have with us prior to your appointment or at the time of making an appointment.  Thank you.

Should you be a new client to our salon or not had a colour service within the last 6 months at our salon, our usual colour skin patch testing still applies. 

The management and staff at Fine to Fabulous will do their upmost to make your time in the salon as comfortable, safe and stress-free as possible.
